Like many, I was shocked to see u/bubblecoffee 's post from the other day about an Allen Edmonds' representative telling him that they will only offer store credit for mail-in returns beginning June 29th. Thinking this is too insane to be true, I sent customer service an email with a link to his post. The response I received confirmed this.
It seems like many people have observed a drop in quality (both in product and service) since the company was purchased; so for me, this is enough of a catalyst to start looking elsewhere.
EDIT: Apparently there's just a ton of miscommunication in the customer service department. This applies only to in-store purchases returned via mail. See bubblecoffee's post below.
