For privacy reasons I'm doing this on a throwaway account but will try to be as specific as possible to receive the best advice I can from you guys. I'm living in NY and am attending college. My mother is depressed and is prescribed medication. She currently lives in shelter housing. She doesn't work and receives government assistance. I have been living on campus since the start of college but I am approaching my final year. I am on track to getting a job out of college and currently have a decent paying internship. My father is in my life but offers no assistance to us. I need a plan to help my mother or if there's anything I can apply for government-wise or any programs that I do not know about in NY. I feel like her life is literally in my hands. What can I do?
