After reading a few posts on here I think I'm going to take the plunge for a pair of (real) Birkenstocks. I have my eye on the Mayari. It looks like they have real leather for $125 and various man made materials for $100. A bunch of reviews of the man-made uppers said the loop part around the toe came uprooted and the shoes couldn't be repaired. So if anyone here has experience with these, I'm wondering:

Is the leather version worth the extra $25? I didn't see any complaints about those. And I definitely don't want $100 shoes that only last a year. I want these shoes in it for the long haul.

If I buy directly from Birkenstock is there any sort of warranty if I do have any issues?

Also wanted to add that I've checked poshmark and eBay but they didn't have any leather ones in my size so probably would be paying full price.
