I like to say it's dumb luck, but my husband says it's due to my hard work and dedication. Either way, somehow I have a position that has increased my salary from $48k/yr. to a current projection of $400k this year (varies due to bonuses). Neither I nor anyone I have ever known has had anywhere near this amount of money. We aren't sure what to do with it or what "smart tricks" to employ to avoid heavy IRS dues come income tax season. I need a very dumbed down list of what to do, who I should talk to, etc.

We purchased a home last year. We have one child. We own a side businesses, but expenses are very low at the moment.

Thank you for your time!
