I've got a yamaha yas 106 sound bar, which is an external speaker for my television. The power cable is cut about four inches from where the cable connects directly to the soundbar's electronics.I would like to repair this cable, but I don't know what the best way is. I've thought of two possible ways:1) solder them together, but I'm concerned that the high heat will damage the electronics. I can try to clamp on a copper alligator clip to use as a heat sink.2) Physically bind the two cables together with a screw. I forgot what this piece is called, but I've definitely seen them around. You put the two ends of the cable in and turn a screw to tighten them together. My concern with this method is that it's too crude for electronics.Would love some advice, thank you and please via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2JkGOMi
