I decided to paint my garage which was originally painted by the builder (contractor grade flat white). Even after watching videos and reading blogs I still have issues with roller lines or inconsistent sheen. It isn't noticable looking at the wall head on though. Am I doomed to be a piss poor painter forever?First wall after dryingI know using a flatter sheen will help address the issue but I went with Valspar Signature in satin. Following the typical advice..Good quality roller. 3/8" to 1/2" napNot overloading with paint.Starting the next line just outside the wet edge. 'W' pattern to spread paint.Small sections so a light final pass can be made before paint sets.Stir paint often and used floterol. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2IuIbU2
