My kids are on summer break and spend tons of time on their electronic devices, which I hate. However, it seems all their friends are engaged in summer leagues and summer camps, so they are nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, all the summer activities seem to cost a lot - a week of residential camp costs $600, and you can easily blow several hundred for sports equipment. I can think of things to do with them, but they don't want to hang out with their parents all day, every day. Whatever happened to kids just getting on their bikes and hanging out with their friends all day? How to keep them entertained or with friends without going into debt?
