Hi guys, I posted here before but I wrote it pretty poorly I thought it would be better if I got the chance to clarify and be a bit more specific.

So as it stands right now I am 19 years old, I have about 700$ in Savings, soon I will be earning 600$ a fortnight at the bare minimum and starting University which thankfully only takes 1 day off my work schedule so I might be earning more then 600 a fortnight. I don't have any living expenses either since I live with my parents and I only have a 90$ a month phone bill to pay off + fuel costs which is about 110$ a month.

I recently opened a bank account with a different provider a strictly all savings account and I plan to throw at least 1 grand there a month at the minimum. I don't really enjoy going out much and my initial plan is to study hard for 3 years so travelling isn't on the table for me.

Now If I manage to save 1 grand a month for 3 years that is a total of 35 grand that I could save but obviously emergency's come up and paycheck probably won't be as consistent, since my savings account has a interest rate of 2.8% that will also provide me with an additional 1.5 grand roughly so maybe I can ballpark my savings between 25 thousand to 30 thousand.

So the rough idea is to save 25- 30 grand by the end of my 3.5 year tenure at University, I won't be able to save for the first week since my Car desperately needs new tyres and I decided to also get new rims since my old ones have scratches all over them so I will be spending 1 grand soon, after that though I will wan't push my plan into action.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice?
