I bought a house just over a year ago with a few raised garden beds. I'm removing some of them to make room for a patio (I don't garden). I assumed the wood was all PT, but now I'm not so sure, so I'd like some other opinions. Some of the boards look to be in decent enough condition to re-use for some other projects I have planned but not if the wood is pressure treated. There are also smaller/damaged pieces I'd burn in the fire pit after drying out, but again only if they're not PT.Some items of note: The garden was 100% organic, so I can imagine that they wouldn't want chemically treated wood. The planters are at most 3-5 years old, so it's not crazy that they'd be in okay shape, especially the boards that were mostly above the soil. There is some insect damage from ants, and apparent rot in some boards that were mostly or entirely underground. Given the age age of the planters, I'd be surprised to see rot after a few years.Pics of damage:https://ift.tt/2JuWTLY via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2McjONV
