Hey, anyone use a conical plastic anchor to hang a light object from a concrete ceiling? The anchors say they can be used in concrete. A friend who installs window blinds said he uses them all the time directly into concrete ceilings, but I just wanted to see if others though they would be okay or not. I already drilled a hole and screwed it up by drilling a 5/16" instead of a 1/4" (since the anchors I had were mislabeled.. kill me) but I just picked up some 5/16" ones to fit instead. For what it's worth, the 1/4" ones seemed to fit fine and hold with me pulling down quite hard on it.. but I'm going to do the 5/16" one anyway. Any thoughts? I just don't want this thing to come crashing down unexpectedly after a year. If these aren't good, what would you suggest when I already have a 5/16" hole? I could just go bigger but the other issue is that the swag hook hole opening is only 1/4" wide, so the screw that drives through this has to fit in there.
