We bought a set of bone china dinnerware, like 5 boxes of it so that we had enough place settings for reasonably large formal gatherings. I dont think it is actual bone china, i think that is just a marketing term. It was not in the fine china or elaborate section at all, and was reasonably priced.

What actually sold us on it was when the lady said "yeah, its pretty durable and long lasting" all casually. then she proceeded to take one of the plates and start fuckin SLAMMING IT against the wooden display rack, and then she threw it up in the air and it clattered to the ground with not a scratch on it.

it feels like a regular ceramic plate but maybe a bit more plasticy.

so like is it actually bone china? what the hell is it made of?
