At what point does it not make sense to repair a car? I'm 23 and have been using my parents 06 CRV while attending college. It has 260k miles on it and kbb says it's worth 1-2k. I noticed the other day that the brakes are making a grinding noise so I have to replace the pads and maybe the rotor. Repair will cost more than 300, so I wanted to know at what point it makes more sense to trade it in. I have around 85k in a savings account and will graduate in a year and hopefully start working.
