I'm not a hugely frugal person but one thing I don't like in life is waste, which is why I am now using the navy shower method.
I've used it for a couple of weeks now and it's been great. For those unfamiliar, you basically hop in the shower and get yourself covered in water, turn the shower off to lather up with soap and shampoo and then turn it back on whilst you rinse the soap.
It may sound gross at first but funnily enough I seem to be doing a better job of cleaning myself; because I'm in a rush and going quickly, I seem to be scrubbing a lot harder and thoroughly. This isn't a quick rinse, it's a proper shower but you just don't leave the water running whilst you're lathering up.
I'm sure this method has been posted here hundreds of times, but thought I'd share it as a refresher. It's been a great experience - showers now costing me a fraction of the price, I save heck of a lot of time and in a way it's kinda fun.
If you're not too keen on the method, just replace one of your showers each week with the navy shower method and see how you get on. If you feel it's working, you're still nice and clean and you've saved some money and time, keep on doing it!
Cheers and enjoy :)
Edit: autocorrect wrote baby shower instead of navy shower
