My wife got into school in Paris which is great but also expensive. She is currently unemployed and I don't make enough to cover the cost. Trying to address these issues has repeatedly caused big arguments that I'm through with dealing with. I'm ready to let her be responsible for making it happen or failing to do so. I'm not however willing to take on a lot of debt for a degree I'm not confident she will use (she has only rarely had a job since we have been married despite my take-home being only about 24k). If she takes on student loans is there any way that I can avoid being liable for them in the case of divorce. I don't want a divorce but it may be clear from this post that there are some issues that need to be worked through to make staying together worth it.
