I understand why stocks do this - in order to make their prices more affordable to smaller investors - but MFs still have minimum entry buys (usually $2-3k, $1k for IRAs) if you don't already own the fund so lowering the price of a share doesn't do the same thing. I ask because 2 of my Fidelity funds did this on Friday.

These funds didn't have huge prices; one was at ~$121 and the other ~$54 before the split.
