Obligatory background: I’m relatively new to trading. I’ve been investing since the beginning of the year 2018 under the guidance of my father who is a freshly retired accountant. He helped me to get started and set me up with a TD Ameritrade and thinkorswim account. As great as my dad is, and as thankful as I am, he still doesn’t know the intricacies of the app and usefulness’ of the studies and charts... That said, (TL,DR) Which studies/charts does everyone use to help predict trends in the market and or individual stock prices? I’ve been using price channels thus far, but am way out of my depth in regards to the many other studies available. Please elaborate on which settings you use and why.
