I've had BAC for years and have been in and out of others. If I assume regulations will move towards removing the regulatory reporting hurdles for the $50-250 billion assets holding banks, what metrics should I be looking into? (Efficiency ratio, ROA, etc..)
I'm looking for companies with a solid path towards growing.
Banks with assets in the $50-100 bil range appeal to me by lessening the costs of regulations therefore growing profits.
Banks with assets in the $25-50 bil range appeal to me a bit more as I think they've been holding back on investing in more assets to not fall under the category as the larger banks above. Also, maybe there's more possibility of merging since the $50 billion minimum may raised to $250 billion.
Thoughts?
