For a while now my washer has been tripping the RCD fuse. After cleaning the filter it started to work again fine for a few weeks but then started to trip the fuse again so after a lot of online research I decided to take the heater element out which was thick of limescale. I've took nearly all the limescale off and fitted it back into my washer only as a short term fix till payday. Is this safe? Everything I've found online only talks about fitting a new 1. If this is a stupid thing to do then I'd rather know before I switch the washer on. I can also upload a picture to show just how bad this part was covered in limescale.
