Asking here since simple living seems to look into part time more than others.
I'm currently a bookkeeper of sorts, it looks like it takes bachelors or 2 years experience to even get your foot in the door. I don't have schooling, but I do barely have that 2 years. I got in through family connections. Otherwise, don't have any real other connections.
Filter by part time in some job sites and it goes down quite a bit in options.
Other than that...I don't have any other skills really, I've worked part time a bit in teenage years in retail stores, but that's it. I have no idea what to expect in getting part time vs full time.
I have an opportunity to learn truck driving, seems to be working long hours then rest more days....but I hate driving heh. Imagining driving for 8 hours sounds horrible.
Job I have currently is....okay. I get real tired of doing same thing over and over though, but it could just be being here 9 hours is just killing it, I'm not sure.
I liked the idea of moving to different careers as I can learn new skills while getting paid, especially skilled jobs, but lot of those seem to take some schooling or some connection to start. Also seems the pay is going to be like minimum wage or less because you are in training stage?
I do'nt have any experience in blue collar jobs so I don't know.
Trying to jump into part time world, but don't know where to start. My confidence in my skill in being able to do so is pretty low, but I want to be able to.
Any advice or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated :)
