I hope this is the correct place for this please redirect me if not.
I test drove a used car from a private seller nearly 2 weeks ago. I inspected it before driving and there were plentiful red flags that would have prevented me from purchasing the vehicle. Including but not limited to the owner finding a backhanded way to insult the way his wife drives and then look to me (female potential buyer) and say "no offense".
When i tested the interior light the handle fell/snapped off in my hand. The inspection continued, took it for a cruise and it was obviously in need of a huge amount of repair. I politely declined via text later that same day.
Today the owner sends me a message asking where he can send the bill because "You broke my dome light, left it in the on position and killed the battery."
Is this fellow out of his mind? or am I? Is he entitled to compensation?
