As a teacher, I feel that there are a lot of opportunities for teachers to live a simple life. I have been working in the same school for two years and I feel that I live a simple life. I do my job 8-4 and I rarely take work home. I have learnt to shut out worries and stress and do simply just get the job done.
One thing that comes to my mind is location... Oftentimes, it is uncommon to hear that teachers work in the same school for many manyyyy years. I don't know long I could do that for. At the moment, I am saving up to contribute towards owning a property. Once I accomplish that goal, which might take another year or 2 [property would be co-owned with my parents], I would like to travel. I was thinking to live abroad for a year... teaching in a completely different country to expand my horizons.
On the daily, I do feel like I'm in a rat race. However, I appreciate where I am in life and I know life will change
