I've been trying to help my GF get her payments and debt in order and have come across a very bothering issue.
My GF had bought a car and was making payments through Scotia Bank, afterwards it came to the point where she could no longer cover these and she has no license so she had no use for the car. She made a deal with the bailiff(?) I believe to repossess the car and it would halt the payments so she pretty much paid 8-9K to fail to pay for the car after 2-3 years. She signed a form that they provided when towing the truck.
The situation is now that they are STILL taking the payments from her account and she really can't afford to continue this. She's tried to call and they've given her, we'll get back to you. They said they still show her as ownership.
Has anyone been through anything similar, what's the fastest way to proceed in a situation as suck?
