I've been wanting to buy my two year old a motorized quad, but I didn't want to spend $80+ on a new one he'd outgrow in no time. And I was hesitant to buy one used, for fear of it not working once charged. But alas, I found one on Facebook that looked like it was in good shape, and the seller claimed it worked, she just couldn't find the charger after a move, and her kid didn't play with it any more. I bought it, and then ran to Wal-Mart for a new battery/charger. I plugged in the battery, tested it out and it seemed to only go in reverse. But there was no switch to change direction. Behold, a phone number and model/serial number. A nine minute phone call and a little kindness later, a brand new battery and charger are on their way to me, free of charge. Apparently the polarity can get reversed and make it go backwards. Lots of googling and no rectification of how to fix that, but the customer service woman said it can happen. Now I just have to make this disappear for the next few days.
