I bought this stopper from amazon to replace the rubber o-ring on my thermos. I waited about 3 years, but it really should be replaced every few months because it starts to pass the stale coffee taste after so long.

Stanley used to sell the o-rings by themselves for $8, which I balked at. I know I can email them, but I don't want to have to do that every time I just want to replace the gasket. Does anyone know of a less expensive alternative that are food-grade? Looking at a unit price of $2-3.
