I'm looking for a medium crossbody bag to use as an airplane personal item (for under the seat). I'd want it to be softsided, very light (close to 1lb) and be able to fit all my stuff without looking bulky or being overstuffed. Initially I was thinking a messenger bag, but I hate those flaps. So maybe a small duffle or messenger/briefcase hybrid? I already have a backpack as my main carry-on, so a large secondary bag or another backpack is out of the question.

The closest thing I found is the Tom Bihn Pilot (and I already ordered one to try out), but I wasn't sure if there are any other cheaper alternatives. Also, I am female, so nothing too masculine looking.

Here is my usual packing list:

Nintendo Switch in hard case
Nintendo 3ds in hard case
8in Kindle fire tablet in case (about the size of a paperback in the case)
Kindle Paperwhite e-reader
Charging cables for the paperwhite and tablet
Portable battery pack (RAVPower 26800 PD)
Bose QC 25 headphones in case
Inflatable neck pillow
Bottle of water (whatever overpriced option they have at the terminal kiosks)
Samsung S8 cell phone
Small travel wallet
Sunglasses
Snacks (usually kind bars)
Various small items (headphone splitter, antibacterial wipes, tissues)
