[Request] Maybe not for “life” due to the nature of technology, but can someone recommend a USB hub that will last as long as my Mac?

I'm getting tired of replacing them periodically. I use a seven-port desktop hub to connect a bunch of USB hard drives. Seems every year or two I have to replace either the hub or the cable connecting it to my laptop.

Is there a brand that makes hubs that is more likely than others to last a few years? Same for cables?
