Budget - $500
The need: Going to be doing a fair bit of global traveling soon, and need boots that are good for all day walking around city streets, historical sites, minor trail hiking (nothing super adventurous, think Petra or Machu Picchu). Usage will be about 60/40 city/outdoors.
They also need to look good enough to not be embarrassing at casual social functions (read: pick up chicks at bars), I.E. can match a pair of khakis/tech slacks as well as a pair of jeans.
So far Red Wing Blacksmith boots are at the top of my list, but hoping someone here can chime in with other brands or tips on boots that have great sole support.
