I want to buy a Toyota 4Runner, as a commuter car but also for camping (sleep in the back, folded down seats.) I had a big camping weekend coming up and I wanted an extended test drive to well, test it out. Instead of using a rental car service, I saw that the Toyota dealership just outside of town had lender vehicles for folks who had their car in the shop. They didn't care of you were having maintenance done or not (even offered safe keeping for my car over the long weekend.) I had the (2018) 4runner for five days and paid about $120. May not be the best deal around, but I felt pretty great about it.
