I've tried researching an answer to this but I've only found that FL Statute of Limitations has an oral agreement of 4 years and 5 years for written.

However, my case is different. I was in a car accident 11/2014 in my friend's car and presented her insurance over to the police. About a year later, Geico is contacting me for my insurance policy which I did not provide to them. The following year, a collections agency was contacting me to make payment and since at the time I was pregnant and not working I explained to them my situation and never received a call again until recently from a new collections agency. The debt collector was trying to pressure me over the phone to say that I was going to make payment which I refused since I was aware that I was being recorded. I asked for proof of the expenses and politely let them know that I was going to hang up since I was working (all true). My question is, in this scenario, what would be my statute of limitations? Would it be 4 or 5 years, or does this fall into a whole other subcategory in FL?

TIA
