I just replaced two porch columns, one which was terribly rotten. In place are two new pressure-treated 6x6 posts, which I plan on wrapping in 1" pine. My question is: should I wait for the posts to dry before wrapping them? If so, how long should I wait?If I did go ahead and wrap them, there would be no breathing room at the base, and only a small corner of the post is exposed under the soffit where it meets my horizontal porch beam. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ICcn0q
