I took my family friend out shopping for her birthday. She is a teenager. I bought her some shoes and clothes, which she needed.
I got carried away and overspent on her significantly. I can afford it and have no issues spending the amount of money on her
However, the problem is her family can not afford much. So I think I have made her Mum feel bad. I told her Mum, if there is anything you do not like, let me know and I will return it.
Unfortunately, I was unable to take off the price tags as the items may need returned. I hope that if her Mum has any issues, she will tell me to return stuff which I have no problem with
I don’t really have a question. Just wondering if anyone thinks I did the right thing? My friend says I was doing it with a good heart and made a kid who usually gets nothing really happy and I should not feel bad. But I feel miserable about it all. I just didn’t think. She looked so nice in clothes that actually fit
