I am building a feature in my woodshop / office / shed like what is referenced here:https://ift.tt/2FIDhkN builder had a built-in workbench that hid storage for sheet lumber and dimensional lumber. I have a 120ft^2 shed (10' x 12') thanks to city zoning for setback requirements. it is the largest you can build with 0 permits required. But there is no way to move long lumber around in there. You can either store that lumber in the shed, and have very little else in there, or you can have stuff, but no storage. This is why I love this guy's idea. My question for ya'll is what is the minimum height of a sheet lumber storage area in order to get stuff in / out easily. If I use his idea of PVC pipe screwed to the ground to make moving the lumber easier, then do I just leave may be 1" of vertical clearance? Or do you think I'd need more room for pushing / fiddling to get stuff in & out? Thanks in advance ya'll! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2KDaC4o
