Hey guys,
There seem to be tons of really useful smartphone apps out there for the frugal types: couponing, points, membership card wallets and so forth.
However, I haven't been able to find any (android) apps that compile membership benefits. By that I mean an app that I can tell which clubs, associations, and groups I'm a member of and what benefits they offer. Just as an example, my gym offers discounts at some 25-30 vendors, but you bet that I will absolutely forget that this is the case when I walk in the door of one of them.
So I guess what I am looking for is an app that collects and compiles my memberships and other information that qualify me to receive discounts (such as: student status, automobile association or gym memberships, insurance discounts, and so forth), which I can then consult when I'm about to make a purchase. I wouldn't even mind initially entering the required information manually for all the different benefits, but I'm just getting sick and tired of missing out on potential savings and realizing it after the fact.
Examples: When about to rent a car, I can consult the app which tells me that AAA gives me 10% off. Dine at restaurant xyz? Open app and realize that gym membership gives you 15% off. Walk into grocery ABC? App tells you it's student Wednesday and you get 5% off food.
Is there anything like that on the market? I understand that this might sound similar to what loyalty program compilation apps do, but I'm looking for a different functionality here, that of providing a reminder of potential membership benefits beyond points and coupons.
