Hello all,
i have always been under the assumption that with long term care planning the idea is to cover 5 years of a nicer assisted living facility with an insurance vehicle, while gifting all of your assets to a trust. This way, once the insurance runs out and you have no assets, medicaid will kick in. Now i have always believed that Medicaid cannot kick you out of a facility that you are already being cared for in. Does any one know if this is true or could point to any documentation to determine an answer? or can Medicaid make you transfer to a different location?
