Guy/wife do videos on retiring in different low-cost areas in warm places. Interviews one fellow who lives on $700 a month in Mexico. I believe he was living on $300 before he got his Social Security check recently. Inspirational, if very simple existence. Not sure if Mexico is in the cards for everyone, but it is something to think about. Imagine living on simple solar system, no fridge, solar water heating, some internet (via phone).
I'd probably want a fridge, but not having to rely on refrigeration or air conditioning, being off the grid, in a lot of ways better a life, less complexity and things to break. Water from a well, off the grid. Living with less is the way to saving money.
I'm inspired. Imagine retiring early.
