I am trying to update my kitchen (just finished painting the cabinets white) Now I want to get new granite countertops but I also want to add a breakfast bar using the same granite I pick. Problem is the pantry door when open would hit if there was any overhang on the other side. Would it look ok if I just had it go from the ledge to the outside? How far should it overhang 12" or 15"? What should I do about the pantry door? What do I need to do to frame it for when the granite guys come to measure and install? Any Advice tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
