I’m a college student in GA and for as long as I’ve remembered, I HATE my teeth. I’ve had braces so it’s not the straightness that’s the issue but rather the shape of my teeth that just isn’t a picture perfect smile. I went to an extremely nice dentist’s office in Atlanta that was recommended for porcelain veneers and quoted me $18,000 for 10 teeth! Worth more than the car my family just helped me get! I absolutely can’t afford that and the financing options are horrible, with the lowest payment option including a fluctuating interest.This is something that has truly been debilitating and has caused me to miss out on so many pictures in my friends, families and even my own life. In this day and age, socially and professionally, there’s no escaping photos and no outrunning a bad smile. I asked locally on Facebook and was told $1300 and up is the norm around here and that I should go abroad to get them done, which I definitely don’t want to do. Am I really out of options? The thought that my college graduation photos will be just another painful session like my high school graduation and other important times in my life is truly depressing.
