It is hard being frugal but even harder when family thinks that you owe them something. Even harder when that family is your parents.
Mom is all alone after losing Dad a couple of years ago. She lost Dad's Social Security when he died and is living on a tight budget. It could be done but she is bad with money and budgeting and feels I should bail her out at the end of each month. For all practical purposes she demands a monthly stipend from me to cover her expenses. Of course what ever I give is never enough. She can not be frugal, it is not part of her DNA.
Anyone here partially support family members which makes it impossible to be frugal in their total budget? Tell us more!
