I have noticed that a large swath of comments related to anything with Information about government programs to help the poor get met with people who post, about how they paid for it. or how they don't want to hear about moochers or how it should all go away.
What the fuck is wrong with you people? We live in a community that is suppose help our fellow man. Government programs to help the poor, you act are like the greatest sins in the world. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you? You act like sovereign citizen nut jobs complaining about the government and wellfare state like you are not even of this country or above it it seems. If the services are there for the poor you tell people about them. There is no pride in the perceived stoicism of poverty. This is not some test of wills or god. Its a fucking drain that swallows people up and destroys many because pride comes before survival.
There are programs to help get a wireless phone the lifeline service, and the first posts were about how i wonder how many drug dealers use this. The other was like i don't want to pay for any god damn welfare brats.

The point of the US government is this, codified by our preamble of the US Consitution and it reads
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Services like this help people. They help people who are homeless, have mental issues, who are wounded warriors have the ability to get reached and apply for jobs or get medical care for serious disabilities.
Stop being such anti government prideful fucks for fuck sake. And stop throwing stones because you are far from being perfect. You didn't pay for the food stamps or the phone service or the public libaries or public schools. Your taxes were pooled into a collective pot. The budget office made a spending bill voted on by your elected officials. The left over budget at the end of the year is then sent back to you based on your deductions and tax rate. SO please tell me how you paid for it because fuck your 2 pennies in the sea of millions of others. I'm proud to pay my taxes to services like food stamps and welfare and live line services. Do you think it should go to war? Or a congress critter salary instead? how about another pay check for private prisons and the criminalization of poverty? Maybe your dream is we bring back debtors prisons ehhh?
