Hi guys,I'm trying to rerun 4 inch PVC pipe from my downspout in the backyard to the swale in the side yard and I'm having some difficulty maintaining an "adequate" slope for the entire length. (About 35-40 ft) I heard that you want to maintain at least 1/8 or 1% slope for the whole length but the features and terrain in the backyard are making it difficult. Overall, it's a fairly flat run with lots of slight ups and downs along the way which is making it very difficult to run it at the proper slope and still being able to bury the PVC.So I'm wondering how gorgiving that slope rule is. Can I get away with running at 0% slope in some places? What if it even goes uphill ever so slightly for a very short distance? I figured that enough water behind a short and slightly upward slope would create enough hydrostatic pressure to push most of it through? This is my first attempt at something like this so any help is greatly appreciated.
