Hi Guys,
I'm really curious to find out how people from different countries give weight to different irrelevant factors when it comes to getting someone to help them with their finances.
I live in Malaysia and before I complained to Uber (now Grab), every time I got into someone's car, the first question they'd ask me before saying hello was: "Are you Muslim?" This was both uncomfortable and weird. Especially considering that my destination was just ~10 minutes away.
I must add that in Malaysia there are 3 dominant racial groups: Malays (majority Muslim), Chinese and Indians. That "Are you Muslim" question would almost always come from a Malay individual.
My assumption is that people from more developed countries, like the United States, would put less weight on a professional's race, gender, age and religion, and that people from less developed countries do the opposite.
Here is the questionnaire: https://goo.gl/forms/fm60085tBzjsZrpI2 And I will share the results on this subreddit if my questionnaire is reliable and if everything else goes well. (Hopefully in 2 months)
Thank you :)
