GE is merging it's transportation unit with a company called Wabtec. After the merger, GE and its shareholders will own 50.1% of the combined company.

I've read that current GE shareholders will automatically receive shares of the new company. Can anyone explain what a GE shareholder should expect here? I assume if I currently own 100 shares of GE, that number will go unchanged, can anyone tell me what to expect regarding shares of the new business?

If anyone can provide some insight here, I'd appreciate it!
