Hi guys. I'm planning to put up a privacy fence that looks something like this this week, building onto existing posts. If I buy cedar 8' and 12' boards from my local lumber shop, will I need to true the boards with a jointer/planer first? I haven't seen the wood yet, so I'm assuming it will be a bit warped but I thought I'd ask here for planning purposes. None of the "DIY fence" tutorials I've found online say anything milling the wood.
