Hi all,I recently tore down my old deck and this weekend will be putting a new one up. Its going to be 24' x 12' with 8 deck blocks, 4 on each side with the beams running across and sitting on 6" x 6" posts. I have two questions:1) If i were to put the beams 8 feet from each other would that be sufficient to support the joists, etc. or would they eventually sag? Joists will be 16 on centre.2) WIth the beams 8 feet apart that leaves roughly 2 feet of joist overhang on the front and the back.
