My husband has been diagnosed with stage IV melanoma. We are both 24. I graduated college a few months ago, and he two years. We both have student loans and credit card debt between 10-12k combined. He’s a teacher and gets paid until August. I start part time work this summer. We have to cut down in expenses to prepare for expenses related to treatment. Will credit card companies work with me? Should I declare bankruptcy? Please help and please don’t mention the cancer part. It’s still really fresh.
