Hello PF I bought a house a couple weeks ago and the inspection did not attempt to turn the AC unit on. I tried yesterday and it is not turning on outside. It is an old unit (23 yrs). Wondering if I should but a year home warranty, wait the 30 day Grace period, then request a repair. Or if I should just replace it without getting a home warranty... I live in DE and have a window unit that could get me through the next Month. But I'm wondering if it will be too much of a headache to go through was home warranty repair people.
