So I turn 30 in about 4 months, and have been reflecting back on poor decisions. I really feel like I should be more financially secure, and have little to show.
I make about 50k, but the turn over in my field is high, and I’ll likely be looking for a new job by end of the year.
I currently have $9k in my savings account, and $9500 in my IRA. I have NO 401k, and no other retirement fund. This is what really bums me out... that I didn’t contribute for the past 10 years. I’m trying to reach 15-20k in savings by end of year... but not sure if I’m gonna be able to get there.
I just feel like I have such a low net worth for my age. How am I doing? Is it that bad??
