I am pretty new to investing. I have a TD Ameritrade account, which I made a few days ago. I got this message
Current cash debit call:
$0.00
A cash debit call is generally issued when an executed order exceeded your cash account's balance or when an administrative fee greater than your cash account's balance is charged. Act immediately by depositing funds, selling stock, or transferring shares to meet the call.
Can anyone help explain to me what this means? I am NOT buying on margin. I put $300 in the account to start off and bought $280 worth of shares.
