No doubt lip service as China has benefited massively from unequal trade and unfair treatment of Intellectual Property. I do believe China will open up, but not without massive concessions. Xi Jinping and the rest of the world knows that Western governments have knowingly taken advantage of Chinese labor and markets to further their own economies. Perhaps there is an irony in all of this. The governments that tried extorting cheap labor from a country are now complaining that that country is "fighting back". Now that China is strong, Western governments want a fair playing field. That's not how international relations work. There will be concessions for free access to China, and Western governments will agree to them. The smart will read through the lines, and the dumb (Trump?) will view this as a massive victory.
Either way, futures are up bigly.
