Hey guys, just wanted to gauge interest and get feedback for a weekly summary that looks at the major stories that happened last week in preparation for the upcoming week of trading. Our focus is on tech stocks, but with a general market commentary as well.
Below are the main points. For more detail you can check out the full post on our blog Zen Analyst. Let us know what you think or if we missed any big market moving stories. Happy to discuss. Cheers!
- Syria strikes don't unnerve market, we don't see a widespread panic occurring because European allies are supportive and strikes are on smaller scale than initially reported
- Zuckerberg scores a temporary victory for Facebook during hearings, but will more regulation follow. How will fallout from this scandal affect other tech giants?
- TSLA jumps after Elon Musk claims the company will be profitable, however the stock is getting crushed today.
- Trump threatens Amazon again via Twitter but he seems to hold a personal grudge against Bezos instead of making logical argument. On Thursday, Trump issued an executive order to audit the USPS in what we believe to be an attempt to raise shipping rates for Amazon.
